Founder's Message

I have been part of this industry for over 20 years. As I climbed the professional ladder, it became impossible to ignore that I was often the only woman in the room, and frequently, the only person of color. I found myself carefully choosing my words, trying not to be labeled as "dramatic" or "emotional," while my counterparts often cursed or raised their voices without hesitation.

As I advanced in my career, I realized that whether my counterparts liked what I had to say or how I said it, I had the experience, intellect, and most importantly, the right to be heard. I had the right to take up space in a room, without fear or self-doubt.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed a welcome increase in the number of women in leadership, including in executive leadership positions, across various sectors of our industry. It happens less and less now that I’m the only woman or person of color in the room.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing this firsthand. I look around and see powerful, intelligent, and capable women everywhere—from Human Resources to Operations, and even among truck drivers. It makes me smile to see these women unapologetically taking up space, speaking up, and serving as true agents of change.

It makes me incredibly proud to see how far we’ve come and to be part of this ongoing progress.
